This was done with hot pressed 100% cotton paper. I tried again with cold pressed and like this result better. I also like these different colors, permanent yellow deep, cadmium-free red, and lemon yellow. I used a moistened watercolor pencil for one of the butterflies.

My 3rd and final painting from this class is my favorite. I used cold pressed paper, manganese blue, Payne’s gray, quin red, and a watercolor pencil for the butterflies.
