Getaway

Getaway - student project

Getaway is a psychological horror story about a marriage in trouble. A couple is hoping to rekindle their relationship with a getaway out of town, just them and their dog. They find a great deal for a cabin on the website Getaway. They find themselves in a cute little town, and the cabin has a wall full of sweet thank yous. The cabin is perfect until it's not.

It begins with the dog staring into space, barking at nothing, and refusing to go outside or be in rooms by itself. Then the wife begins to see and hear things she knows are not there. Confiding in her husband only adds more strain to the relationship. That is, until he finds something that makes him feel what true fear feels like. Then it's a race to get everyone out of the cabin.

The story was plotted out using the character-driven plotting method. Instead of plotting the whole story at once, it was plotted by act to show growth throughout the storyline.
