I’m not a huge fan of abstract nor acrylic paint but I needed an excercise in letting loose and I really like Suzanne’s videos and following her painting process. 

I followed her steps one by one up until the toning down with the light rose cirkles. After that I grew a bit tired of the acrylic paint and I finished it off with oil pastels. I did not add an extra focal point. I kept the dark flowy leaves as they were as I think they werethe prettiest element in my painting so far. I just added some marks and gold touches with the oil pastels.

 

I used cheap acrylic paints from the local dollar store, oil pastels by Talens Van Gogh and Sennelier and a broad uniball signo white gelpen on canson paper for acrylic and oil paint (290gsm).
