Animating Fire in Stop Motion

<p>Great fun and clear instructions, thanks, Laura. I tried clay, coloured foil but I couldn't make the fire shine. So I opted for coloured cellophane lit from behind in a moonlit scene.</p>

Thanks Laura- the magic of charity shops, actually, at least i set up the scene.

Ah I've just seen the video too. I really love the composition and the lighting of it!

Haha thanks Laura, I tried camera movements but decided it was better without. Since fire is vertical I wanted the setting to fill the frame.
