Beautiful San - love the shading and the vibrance of your apple

Hi San! Thank you so much for sharing your work with us! Love how you chose an atypical perspective on an apple -- the top down view is really interesting! You've also done a great job at restraining yourself from making the apple too perfectly round. It has a pleasant irregularity to it. You've also gotten the stem in exactly the right spot, which is tricky as the temptation to put it dead center would have been very strong here. So, overall, the drawing and proportions are really solid. Two things you could work on next time: 1. Color -- there is a bit more nuance in the reference, especially in the yellow tones. You've used mostly a very saturated yellow, so, if you have another less saturated yellow, or even some brown, you could knock down some of the saturation, which will increase the sense of form. The area to the right of the stem has quite a bit of green in it, and it's also less saturated. The dark red on the underside of the apple is also considerably less saturated. 2. Values -- the shadow/underside of the apple could use some more dark values (this will also help with the de-saturation). The area around the stem could also use some darker values.
