I decided to use another (royalty free) reference photo, just to challenge myself even more. :-) I loved painting these and learned a lot from it. I’m quite happy with how the caps turned out, but less so with the stems. Overall, they are too dark, I think. The shadows on the other hand maybe aren’t dark enough? (I’m always afraid of making my shadows too dark and then not able to go back…). I did use 100% cotton hot pressed watercolor paper (brand: Fontaine), but wasn’t able to lift any colors at ALL. Quite frustrating. Anyway, great class, I hope to see more of them soon!
