The floral designs in Floral Animal Silhouettes are inspired by artwork I saw in a porcelain museum in France. Museums are great places to get creatively recharged and find reference photos.  

Most of the artwork in the museum I visited was hundreds of years old, and the upside of using very old imagery for reference is that you can avoid potential copyright issues.

Plus, it's a fun way to tie in an art history reference to your updated modern work!
