I wanted to make a rough sketch with black pen to see the structure.  And I also liked how the drawings from the examples were in black. This kind of painting reminds me a lot to "alebrijes" they are figurines carved in wood typical of Mexico. They have a very similar painting technique and the surreal shapes of plants and animals.
