Hi Wes! I just want to say that I love this course so much, and I know that it's going to really help me improve my skills. I just finished my first basic study (values first, colours on a multiply layer, which I have never done before. I've always had trouble with values, because they scared me quite a bit before), a screencap from one of my favourite films, My Blueberry Nights by Wong Kar Wai. I think I still have a long way to go, but just doing this little study made me feel more confident, especially when I eventually get to the creating my own piece of work stage. Hand-picking the colours and values was also quite a challenge, and I had to do a lot of tweaking - i.e. going back to change the values after putting the colour on, and realising something was too dark. 

I can't wait to do more, see where it takes me, and share it with you! (I hope it's okay that I'm just submitting this one piece for now!)
