First Three Attempts +

It looked so easy when Jessica did it! I can see that I need to practice these clouds some more if I am going to master them. Each attempt is getting a bit better. It looks like it's a matter of getting a feel for the medium and techniques by experimenting. So this is just a progress photo. I'm going to have another go this weekend.
With example number 3, I found it better to work upside down so I could take advantage of the brush tip to set the edge and then soften back from there. I also added some ochre to the clouds and a little black to get a darker blue. I also let the blue dry so that I could add another layer of colour.
So it's back to the drawing board.
Attempt No 4...
Below is my fourth attempt. My clouds got a little dark and stormy. I tried to rescue some of the white areas, but found white water colour not opaque enough and wishing I had some acrylics on hand! I still have much to learn, so I'm leaving my paints out and will have another couple of goes during the week as time permits.
