When you draw characters in motion, start with a simple stick figure. Find the pose you are looking for, and search for references online to see the pose and movement you are looking for.

Then draw the characters you want with a blue pencil. Keep it sketchy and rough until you find the character. You can play with different characters or draw the same character. The proportions of the stick figure will help you find the position of all the parts of the body.

Last, add details, costumes, whiskers, and more.
