2. Portrait Exercises w/ Colored Pencils & Gouache:

First time drawing without guidelines and using brushes for portraits. I recently realized that I tend to focus too much on minor details, which can drain my energy and time. However, during this exercise, rapid drawing helped me break those habits. I enjoyed exploring this new energetic style with fast brush strokes, and I plan to continue practicing it.

Lessons Learned:

1. Avoid focusing too much on minor details; in the end, they may not even be noticeable.

2. Remember, your sketchbook is a space for practice, so don't be afraid to make mistakes.

3. Using inexpensive paper can alleviate pressure and encourage experimentation.
