Faces 1 by Ivy

These are my sketches from following along with the class aka day one of re-studying figure drawing.
The second and third pictures are from day two. To prep for these drawings i did some photograph studies. I printed out actual human faces and drew the proportions over their faces. I printed out faces that I would want to emulate further down in my art career. Faces that gave me the fantasy feel.
After studying the real photos I started with a mapped out face. I tried to keep in mind the type of face i wanted to draw; a small, round face to eventually turn into a little forest nymph or something of that nature.
The last drawing is without guide lines. This time i went for a slightly longer face. I wanted to keep the girl young so i kept it relatively small and round in the cheeks.

Things i personally think i need to work on: symmetry of the face (the eyes are always different sizes), and hair.
