Amy thanks for the great color mixing and composition instructions.  I have never painted with gouache before and I have Turner Acrylic qouache. I'm used to acrylics this dries much faster.... and I suppose I need more paint and need to learn the water control but I don't mind the streakiness.  My background and table are the same tone so I can make it darker...or lighter
