FILM Festival Logo Explosion

This is an excellent course. Thanks, William!

I've dabbled with After Effects in the past and increasingly Clients are wanting more motion added to their graphics. Thanks to this class I'm more confident about adding an animated version of a logo to a Client's branding arsenal.

This first attempt at animation doesn't use all the skills in the class but was a great refresher for my rusty AE technique. Also, appreciated the very handy shortcuts and best practices to keep the timeline tidy.

I am currently working on branding for a Film Festival client. I had created a neat isometric illustration to brighten up the initial postcards and postcards.

When it came to expanding the brand across merchandise and the main programme, I decided to 'explode' the illustration to add more dynamism to the event.

This was well-received and of course being a Film Festival there were in need some 'idents' to fit between films. I was asked to animate this illustration exploding. This is where this course came in very handy. The guidance on using graphs to tweak motion really helped to create a dynamic smooth flow to the various parts flying off in various directions.

Really enjoyed the process. There are a few logos I've one in the past that are begging for some motion, so will post these when I get round to them.
