Watercolour Venice: Painting Water and Buildings: Light, Reflection & Atmosphere

Hi Kris, another lovely painting. I especially like the way you've painted the water - some beautiful colours. I think you may have been a little too cautious with your dark abstract shapes along the bottom of the buildings on the right - a few more would help to 'ground' the buildings a little better. Thank you for the feedback Carrie! I see what you mean about anchoring the building with a bit of shadowing, although, if any city could look like it was floating up to the sky and ethereal, it would be Venice.😊 I can easily and some shadowy abstraction at the base of my building. I still think my reflections are heavy and fake looking.

The light is beautiful! Fabulous painting :)
