Cat Portrait - 8" x 10" watercolor on cold press paper

I knew my painting of a tabby cat wouldn’t be a success unless I incorporated an exciting background. This class taught me the perfect way to create just that using the Bokeh effect. The soft, dreamy background brings the painting to life!
I created unity by making the background the same colors I used in the cat’s eyes.
