Hi 

Amruta here from India. I got interested in surface pattern designs last year. 

I love sewing and paper crafting. But recently started making patterns with my iPad.

I got addicted to it and want to learn more about pattern designing and color theory.

For this class project I choose this vintage stork shaped  scissor.

I use Affinity Designer for making 

patterns.

Mental illustration:

 I imagined shapes like

 triangles, rectangles and circles

 and drew them on my iPad. 

 For better understanding I colored   them with shades of pink.

 Then with the shape builder tool   and node tool I reshaped it as per   the requirements. Then colored the   scissor with some gradient. 

 

 

Thank you for this wonderful class. I learned some new things from this class and will follow the same for my future projects. Your other classes are also on my list.

Can you please suggest some classes for color theory?
