I know this is kind of random but do you have any tips to an aspiring artist? 

Thank you for asking me, it means a lot to me.Well...you need to get your fundamentals right, with simple shapes, get comfortable with them, then you can go on a more complex shapes and so on, i would reccomend David Finch or Robert Marzullo, they have a great beginner courses on their YT channels, or here, if you are willing to pay, good luck with your learning mate, wish you all the best
