One Sketchbook of Posca
1. Purpose: get comfortable using Posca pens on large areas; pair Posca with Uglybooks
2. Media: fine point (bullet tip) Posca pens; Uglybooks with red paper (small)
3. Schedule: 1 spread per day for 23 days (fills sketchbook)
4. Subject: art supplies
5. Sharing: in project section of class
This will be volume 1 of this project. Once this book is filled, I will start another one with a different medium and subject. I have been doing a daily drawing project for the last 8 months so I'm not too concerned with the 30 day parameter - I have committed to a year. But the practice has been flat lately; this class injected a nice dose of enthusiasm!

25 Oct is the last. 2-page spread in my sketchbook - I'm done! I learned a few things:
1. I didn't love working with the Poscas for coloring large areas! I can get this look much more easily using Procreate.
2. Poscas work best when you keep priming them while working.
3. Poscas work best with a very light touch.
4. Poscas make the pages of the sketchbook quite thick, so for the last few spreads, putting it in the scanner didn't work. Starting from about 20 Oct. you can see that the large difference in thickness between the left and right sides creates a blur.
5. Using Poscas in this way is pretty time-consuming. Depending on the complexity, these drawings took me up to an hour to complete, so that meant I didn't have time for some of the other projects I had going alongside this one. Still, it was a really good experience to pick one medium and stick with it for a whole sketchbook. As you can see, I learned a lot by doing that!

Having filled one sketchbook with Posca markers, I'm now starting my second book for this project. This one will be:
Medium: Pitt soft brush pen (black), #2 (Wide) Uglybook
Subject: bottles - any kind
Schedule: 10 minutes a day
To save space, I've made collages, 3 days per. So some of the edges were clipped.
