This painting is really quite small, just 12cm square, as I wanted to use it to create a birthday card for my sister-in-law. Being so small, Jane’s free flow technique didn’t have the room to really “do its thing” as it would have done on a larger sheet, so I went off piste a little and added some black pen work and some iridescent medium on the wings and some white highlights using Dr PH Martin’s bleedproof white.
