Different kind of Tulip Bouquets

Latest bouquet of tulips! I used gingham fabrics in pastel colors for the buds. And a combination of solid fabric for the stem and gingham for the leaves. This bouquet was so pretty and was a gift for a new bride!
I am sharing here a few bouquets of tulips I have made through the years to give you ideas of how you can create a bouquet of your own!
I have upcycled materials like in the bouquet I made for my mother in law (picture below) with leftover fabric from a dress she wore on her wedding day. She loved to receive this bouquet and how much more it meant that I had used leftover fabric from a dress her mom had made for her.
The upcycled fabric are the buds with a pattern then I mixed them with solid color buds. So that is another idea, mixing a printed fabric and solids for the buds.
This project is perfect to use with scraps of fabrics so think of any pieces of old garments or any scarves, tablecloth, etc that could work for the buds of these tulips!
During filming my class I made a bouquet with 4 tulips to give to my sister. I made two of the buds with gingham fabrics and cut them on the bias as well as cutting on the bias the leaves. I personally love to use ginghams in sewing projects and using bias cut is also a good choice to enhance the pattern in a different way with a diagonal look, so pretty!
I sold these bouquets in my Etsy shop and I had the option for customers to choose the colors. So here are two bouquets I created using the color choices customers picked. The first bouquet has different colors, 5 of them and bright green color for the leaves and stems. The second bouquet is a 5 tulip bouquet also but all in the same color and pastel colors for the leaves and stems.
A bouquet of tulips can be made with 3 or more tulips! I have here a bouquet of 7 tulips.
These tulips can be made all by hand! Look at the tulips my mom made last year all by hand!
And here is the bouquet I put together at the end of filming my class, this one has 17 tulips!
I have also gifted these tulips as a single tulip and believe me even one tulip is received with a big smile! Lately I have added a "Tulip Kit" if I am giving a tulip to a friend that loves to sew too. Or place the single tulip inside a nice basket.
I hope these ideas are helpful to work on your tulip project!
