Dear Frustration

Dear Frustration, please, won't you let me be?
Oh, why must my thoughts ridicule and torment me?
Looking for a mental space of serenity,
Troubles in my way are all I can see.
Dear Frustration, haven't you had enough?
I'm tired of the struggle; all I need is love.
You're the looming shadow in corners of my mind,
Much like memories I can't leave behind.
Dear Frustration, is there still no escape?
You appear uninvited when problems take shape,
But I can't walk out, can't run away from myself-
Is this all there is? Is there something else?
This poem felt like a release. Thank you for your course. I truly enjoyed it.
