Country Road using simple watercolor techniques

Country Road using simple watercolor techniques - student project

Wow Ron, this class is filled with so much great info and samples of techniques.  The range of demos and tutorials was wonderful.  I was very relaxed while I painted my country road.  I just kind of went for it and let the paint go where I wanted.  The biggest challenge for me were the two foreground trees.  For some reason they were not looking natural and I futzed with them a little longer than I should have.  I’m looking forward to more classes with you in the future!  Feedback is always welcome! Thanks again D

I usually scan my paintings as they come out cleaner with better edges, however, this time the scanner washed out my sky and the painting looks a little lighter (2nd photo), so then I took a photo with my phone and it turned out a little darker than the painting.

Photo taken with phone which turned out darker than original.  You can almost get a feel for an arched door in the original.

This is the one that was scanned and it really washed out the sky and birds and. The overall painting is more washed out than the original.
