Before sharing information, Make sure that customer reads the confidentiality statement before signing it. This is to understand how the customer information will be used by the company.
When a customer is directly talking about personal details, other customers should be outside of earshot, suggesting a couple meters away so that it would be too difficult to hear.
When writing down customers personal details, make sure the computer screen isn't visible outside the receptionist table, so that other customers seeing sensitive details.
After being given the details, send it to a secure cabinet or system that would prevent the information from being leaked.
Do not discuss private information with colleagues or in public spaces as it may be heard.
All of this will allow for customer information to remain safe and secure and the company you work with to remain trustful.
