I painted my colour wheels with Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache rather than watercolour. The three primary colours are Primary Yellow, Spectrum Red, and Ultramarine. Colours on the outer circle are mixed with Burnt Sienna. Colours in the pastel circle are mixed with Zinc White. Although I have painted a number of colour circles over the years, I never before mixed all the colours with Burnt Sienna, or painted a pastel circle, so this was an interesting exercise.

I don't have favourite colour palettes. I try to choose the most appropriate colours for each piece. As an example, here is my gouache palette for my project in Peggy Dean's Botanical Folk Art class. This is on ivory coloured paper. You can see the whole project at https://www.skillshare.com/projects/Folk-Art-Bouquet/181986?via=class-details-projects-page

Here is my more complex watercolour palette (not followed exactly in the finished piece) for Marie-Noëlle Wurm's Abstract Watercolour class. You can see the whole project at https://www.skillshare.com/projects/Layers-Cells-Constellations/181280?via=class-details-projects-page
