Collage Papers & Mini Compositions

It was really satisfying to "play" without a predetermined outcome. There's a lot of pink because I was using a bottle of pilot ink that I'd forgotten about. The paper is crinkly because I was repurposing tissue paper that I discovered in an old shoebox. :)

It took a lot of practice to get the hang of asemic writing but now I love it.

The dots at bottom right are awl marks; the silver circle comes from a bottle cap.

Found the yellow tag in a box of items we bought at auction. Seemed to go well with the splatters! I also incorporated the shibori collage papers from a different class.

This was silly but I had to do it ...

At the very last minute I found a mini composition from the "place mat". It looked like it belonged with a journal page I'd already created ... all those squiggles and random marks.  You can barely see the pink circle but it's homemade pokeweed ink. (It's super simple to make. I was also able to dye paper pulp with it; a very nice light pink-purple. So if you're in the United States & Canada grab some berries and give it a try! Just wear gloves. It's toxic.).
