Coffee Time 1: Sketch Simply with Ink & Watercolor - Learn to Draw & Paint

Thank you for being brave and uploading your project, Lisa. You successfully drew these forms. You have good eyes to proportions which is one of the most important aspects of drawing and painting. One little tip for the items in the first two rows. You can make these illustration look even better by adding an extra layer of paint at some areas. Feel free to apply darker paint on the shadow side of these objects where you feel the surface gets the least amount of light. Just a touch of dark brown or Payne's gray here and there on the right side. This way you can increase the contrast, in other words, the distance between the lightest and darkest values on your subject which  generally makes it more interesting to the viewer. This is really just a few extra brush strokes. For example, on the muffin you applied a pretty dark brown. Keep practicing, Lisa, and you'll get better and better in art. 🙂
