In the original picture, the front door of the church looked flat. The trees and bushes were also muted and without distinction. Aurora HDR allowed me to brighten the areas in shadow, bringing out the wood grain, the red in the door and made the sign over the door legible. At the same time, the bushes in the forground were sharpened as were the leaves on the trees. Contrast on the mountains and sky was also tweaked. Finally, I applied a light vignette to focus attention on the church.
