Chintz pattern
I have been reading a lot about chintz and was inspired by them , they are hand painted , mordant and resist dyed prints on fine light weight cotton , prevalent in the 1600s- 1800s India . They were in high demand in England and were exported from colonial India to the European markets and had to be later banned as they hampered local business but soon there cheap machine made replicas were made in England itself to meet the demand by consumers.
This is a very basic design which I have then rendered it on our traditional Indian garment- Kurta in three colorways.
