Butterflies: A Beginner's Watercolour Class with Jane Davies

I love the looseness of your butterflies! You have created some really pretty patterns, too. :-D

Nice warming for painting, like the tree class. Fun to experiment with colors. Not every butterfly is a success! Now I will try another of Jeans beginners classes! Enough butterflies for a while!

These are fabulous... I can see the main butterfly you had more confidence to allow the paint to do its own thing. If you’re not used to this technique, it takes a bit of getting used.A good tip is to do a few butterflies at the same time, it helps you to stop staring at it while it dries! As it’s difficult not to have a little tinker ;-))

Second wet in wet class. It is not that easy. A little is too much. Will try more trees and butterflies before a madterclass!
