Butterflies and Moths by Maribel

Butterflies and Moths by Maribel - student project

Here is my project for this class!

I decided to make butterflies too because I never tried before and also Sue herself gave me the idea to add another pattern for a kid's collection that I'm working on.  It is so satisfying when you reflex on the wins and see the final butterfly!

I use the "dissection method" using tracing paper to separate all the butterflies' parts and then used the "image trace".

I also created some textures with a big brush to add to the butterflies' bodies, and I added some clipping masks to some of the wins.

I had so much fun doing this project and I learned so many tips in illustrator! I definitely have to review again some of the lessons to actually practice all of the ways to do the things!

Thank you, Sue, for such a wonderful class!
