Here's a very rough outline for a dark fantasy, adventure comic I have in mind.

Every day, Faria lives with her family in an impoverished village

Until one day, Her village is attacked and Faria is taken by traffickers

Ever since then, Faria along with the other victims work together to break free. (Eventually Faria contributes to the war effort and creates an organization that rescues and rehabilitates victims from human trafficking.)

 

Every day…

1. Faria is walking to the spring to collect water
2. She wonders if she’ll make it on time to school
3. Transition to Raul, her father
4. He is talking with someone about rumors of war brewing in the country
5. He expresses concern for the war and refugees but doubts their village will be attacked

Until one day…

1. Shanty town at sunset
2. Scene shifts to inside a room with multiple mattresses and three teens
3. Faria is working at her weaving loom
4. She is stuck on the goats on her tapestry
5. She and her other siblings overhear their parents having a conversation
6. Cut to demonic soldiers preparing to put on gas masks
7. They begin throwing in canisters of poison gas into the town
8. Villagers are confused
9. Villagers try to escape from the poison gas
10. Faria’s family board up their home to prevent gas from leaking in
11. They suffer through some damage
12. A wind blows away the poison gas
13. The demonic soldiers take survivors as hostages

Ever since then…

1. Raul frees his children from bondage
2. They escape
3. Faria gets attacked by a soldier
4. She fights back and escapes
