Bound in Creativity: A Mixed Media Journal Project

Wonderful! Short sweet and what a treat! I love this class. The class project offers a prompt with guidance and is open ended enough to spark creativity in me. I also enjoy Denise’s process. I love the chain stitch - makes a wonderful sturdy stitch. And it’s perfect to capture different size papers.

Here is my unique idea “Flamingo Floral”.

I have many art supplies. I also struggle with color. I like to swatch and coordinate colors. So, I also like to make smaller mixed media journals to swatch and try out colors. Smaller journals are fun fast to make and not so intimidating to use. I decided to do the color wheel.

I use what I have on hand, paint, gelli prints, notes, tags, and lots of pockets.

Little by little you have a little swatch library and fun journals at the ready for color selections.

Thank you Denise for another inspiring class and project!
