Hi Barbara thanks for the inspiration. I feel a bit naughty for not really doing what you said except trying to find my palette. But as I was doing it, I just went along and used more colours than I wanted.

I started out with the bigger shape. It started to look like a brain and didn't want that. I don't know why I used purple so much. I don't really like purple at all.

And the second blob became an egg which I didn't want either. Still, I do like some of the things that happened in the paint with the running, splitting and granulation. I love the random textures. I also like the colour combination in the 'egg', but I would love to start exploring more subdued colours.

I will give it another go and then I'll try to paint something more figurative, instead of simply getting lost in colours. I guess I needed the latter haha.
