I've made 2 attempts so far on the blind contour exercise. I need to work more on slowing down; I got too excited after the first one that I rushed my second attempt. However, I do like how different both my attempts turned out. This may be a result of drawing features in different orders each time. It makes me wonder what it would look like if I had started with the lips, or the hair, or even an ear. More ideas for my next drawing session!
Perhaps it would be a good idea to sit down in front of a mirror and – before drawing anything – spend a few minutes to just relax. This would help to get into the "flow" and prepare to draw slow (oops... accidental rhyme!).
