Avoiding the "What Happened".
In order to better optimize my time each day and avoid the second scenario in the top photo, I plan on doing the following to minimize distractions and maximize my focus:
1. Deleting and re-adding essential push notifications (i.e.: I have too many news notifications that constantly go off and I don't even read nor access the site anymore, so they need to go).
2. With #1 in mind, I do like to read or find articles that I want to save and reference back to, so I am going to install and use the Pocket App (instead of currently keeping a tab, with the article in it, open on my internet browser to look at it "when I have a moment").
3. I have been keeping a piece of paper handy to jot down any ideas, thoughts, tasks to complete that I will integrate into my master list later.
4.. I am creating some themes and small routines with certain priorities on the days my kids have class. For instance, I have a chunk of time open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 1 pm, so I am going to dedicate that time on both days to watching my skillshare classes and/or reading and completing any other continuing education items; also, when my kids nap on those same days, I am going to meditate in the afternoon for 15 minutes, around 2 pm.
