Avocados with Gouache

This was the second time I used gouache and my first class with Elisabetta. It was a lovely experience with her. She explained every little detail while drawing, so I felt comfortable painting along with her. Coming from watercolour, it was strange that I needed to blend every little corner. At first, I didn't get the idea because the paper was wet, and the colours didn't seem blended. So I just came back and forth with the brush a million times. Only at the class's end did I realise it would look nice when it dries. This was my biggest takeaway regarding the usage of the gouache.
I used an A6 sketchbook to create my project. First, I painted both sides with pink, but being the avocados on different pages, I thought it would look nicer if I recolor the other side. And it worked.
This is the sketchbook version:
I rearranged it later in Photoshop because I wasn't too happy with the composition. The right-sided avocado was too close to the middle of the page. So this is my final version after being fixed:
Thank you, Elisabetta, for sharing your knowledge regarding the gouache. Doing this class was bliss and made me think about digging deeper into gouache's mysterious world. :)
