Autumn Watercolor Florals: Playful Fall Colors with A Hint of Blue

I think they look great, not out of your comfort zone. You post so many projects you must spend all day painting!. For months it takes me forever to do just one - going through a phase.

Thank you :) I find painting anything loose is so difficult for me. Fun to do, but hard. I paint any chance I get :) I never sleep very well, so I paint, it's a very quiet activity that does not disturb the rest of the house.

Keep up the good work. I found painting at night difficult until I got a lamp that is like "daylight" which works great.

Very nice job Laura, and I agree, Joly does make it look so easy.  Awhile back, took a little time away from painting and did nothing but play with my paint and experiment with color mixing.  I ended up categorizing my whole watercolor collections, making swatches and assigning numbers to each so I can easily find what I need.  It was very time consuming, but I learned so much.  It has been so much easier for me to set up my pallet since then as well. :)

Thank you :) I find loose painting anything very difficult:) I have swatches of the colors in my pallet so at least I know what I have, but finding it is an entire adventure by itself :) I really should spend time to organize and mix. Your pallet sounds great :)

Thank you :) I was just glad mine resembled a flower. Reminded me of learning to paint in grade school. Looked so easy, but it is not :)

Autumn Color Mixing
I realized, real quick loose flower painting is not my thing :) Joly makes it look so easy!! I did have fun though. This is a great class and with a lot of practice and more flower painting classes it would be achievable:) My favorite part was the color mixing. Being new to watercolor, I enjoy learning color mixing. I should explore that more and figure out what I can do with my palette:) This class was way outside my comfort zone, but I realized painting loose flowers is fun.
