Art Slump Uplift - Thanks, Elisabeth!
Slumpsville
It had been a few days of low energy and apathy. Definite art slump symptoms. I started watching the class and thought I could make it through some lines and shapes. 1-2-3-GO! No masterpiece, but I made lines, and made them with ballpoint gel pens not a medium I ever used for art before.. I could probably do a few circles.

Round and Round with Brush Pen Circles
Brush pens are not a media I use with any consistency as with the ball point pens. Not entirely comfortable. Now circles where there were no circles before. I should add that these first two each filled a half page of a 8" x 5.5" multimedia sketchbook.

Energy Growing as Does Page Size
Those last two exercises were kinda skimpy, and I by now I was ready for a full page. I started having fun with my ruler and colored pencils, another medium for which I lack experience. But this was a super fun page to do! I enjoyed watching Elisabeth using lines and colored pencils. The random use of colored pencils uplifted hope to do more with them in the future.

Swatch Collage Randomness
I've been hoarding a bunch of inch squares of swatches that I havae been eagerly waiting to use for a grid collage. They ended up looking for random than intended, but in each line, I tried to have one color and its compliment.

There Be Creatures
When I started this project, I was too sluggish to even cut the little words and put them in little piles. By the end of this project, I used a collage background I made in another class with Elisabeth and started capturing creatures roaming the background.

Good work breaking the slump, Elisabeth! As I got more ideas, I chose a random project I have been eager to do and addressed an abstract background by finding goofy critters! Energy level = creative fun.
This was a valuable class. Best to all creativies, Judy
