Thank you, Maria, for this wonderful and very helpful class! It was quite challenging even though it looked easy, getting the right shapes and tonal values was quite difficult. I added several layers and the lifted spots are almost gone, the highlights are also less bright than in the beginning. But I learned a lot. I wasn't sure whether to add a background or not but after one week I decided to add a background to my second version, too. I might still rewet and add some branches, I like how they turned out in the first version but the paper was already drying in the second painting since I concentrated more on other things like lifting.
