Ania's Spring and Winter

Hi!
Time for the Spring project has come!
I decided to share with you and show you how to apply the negative painting technique differently. In another class, we tried to paint with watercolors the woodland and fairy city scenes. Here, not only am I showing you the technique executed with gouache, but I am also sharing how to use the negative painting as a creative tool to work with to develop your style.
I decided to paint a butterfly and a flower. I hope you will enjoy it, and I can't wait to see your projects and what you will come up with to celebrate Spring!
Let's start this year project!
The first season is Winter.
I started with the theme of a house in the woods, very classical but always captures my heart. Nigh, snow, forest, and a light in the dark, my favourite topics so it is not strange I decided to paint it.
The second bonus illustration is kind of a zoom-in on the theme of the forest. So I am glad that somehow these two are linked and can make a story together. And it was not intended. But could I continue with this story in other seasons? Or I could continue with this winter story, so it is a good starter.
I am uploading also the testing exercises.
I cannot wait to see what you come up with! Think of your season theme, and see you in the Spring! Or whatever season where you are at right now.
