Amazing to see how much you can capture in that small landscape painting! I bet that feels empowering to look at. It sure is a powerful reminder for me of how a few lines and washes can actually do a lot to capture a scene. You simplified it even more than I did and it sure works. I'm also noticing that you have lots of observations and reflections about the weather that you were experiencing at the time and how different that was to the weather in the desert.
