I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Without seeing anything else you've created or really knowing where you're at in your artistic journey... I'll do my best! 

Imagine your painting in black &amp; white. What do you see? This can be a helpful exercise in observing where our tonal values are. Sometimes we want high contrast, but we also want those mid tones.

You have great contrast with the bird to background and the eye, and some good middle tones on the face of the bird. Where I would suggest further development is the wing of the bird. I would love to see more variation in tones and more feather details. 

When I add these additional detailed layers, I want the previous layer to be dry so I can work on top of it.
