ALICE IN WONDERLAND BOOK COVER PROJECT UPDATED
Hi Mary,
Thank you so much for your time for creating this class. I am really excited to work on this Book Cover Project.
For my project, I decided to work on ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND (Lewiss Carroll). I came up with some initial subjects that I thought I could consider such as :
Tea Cups (Ithink of Alice's Story, I am bound to think of MadHatter's Tea Party)
Aged Caterpillar
Queen of Hearts
Rabbit
KeyHole
Vintage Key
Based on these thoughts, I came up with some sketches...I am not sure if these would make to the final. I would like to create this Book Cover interesting and colorful, yet add some Vintage Feel to the Hand Lettering ) which ofcourse, I love in your style). Hence I am also enrolled for some of your other classes to get the best understanding of the Hand Lettering Style.
I would love to hear any suugestions or feedback. I did try the exact thumbnail approach however just could not get myself adjusted to that. Lol! I am not good with photoshop, however I realised this might look good if I work in Photoshop. Not sure if illustrator would do justice to my sketches.
Here's my updated Version, this is yet not complete, however I am stuck and need some feedback...I am planning to redo the Frame in a slightly decorative way not vintage exactly. I was planning to incorporate a key not sure. I a don't want to overdo and clutter the Cover Page with too amy things.
BACK SPINE FRONT
Same is for the Back Cover, I was planning to add some strange characters or may be Queen of Hearts...with her famous cliche, Off With Her Head.
Since this is my Work In Progress I did not bother to color all the elements.
Mary, I would love get some direction here. Please share your feedback.
As I worked on some more stuff, I came up with this...
So here's my final one for this project Front, Back and Spine...
Regards,
Neelam
