I tried to paint my window with a candle on the windowsill, and fairy lights around. This is the first time that I have added a background colour to my paintings because I never considered the mood before. I somehow cannot add a flame to the candle, and feel like the picture is slightly lacking the 3D look. Could you please advise on how I can improve this picture, I would really like to improve my skills.
