Kou - thanks so much for sharing your mother's story. I love that you are doing this, your mom is fascinating and it seems like she's very open with you.While watching, I was with you when we were talking about sticky rice, and the visuals paired up nicely. Around the time we saw her sitting at the sewing machine, I wanted to know what her life is like now. Does she like being a mother? Is she a seamstress now? Did her life turn out how she thought it would? What would her father think if he saw her now? I would also urge you space out the voiceover at certain points in order to give us time for emotion, and for information to sink it. Great work and keep going!!

I learned a lot! I love the music at the end.Maybe you can put some of that music in between her talking to have some "breathing space". Maybe you could find some photos of school girls in Laos from that time? Fascinating!
