Early this spring a huge flock of robins descended upon our mountain ash tree. In just a couple of hours they ate all the berries still hanging on the tree from last fall and all the berries that had fallen to the ground. I had really wanted to paint these birds and this class give me a chance to learn how to draw and paint them. This made a great addition to my winter sketchbook I had started in my previous class. I always struggle with adding too much detail so the gesture sketch was great practice for me.
