I love to paint in botanical style and have wanted to learn how to paint a bee to add to some of my paintings.  So I was delighted to discover a new artist on Skillshare who was offering lessons on painting a bee in 3 different mediums!  What a huge bonus for me.  I am always eager to learn new things so sent away for a starter set of gouache and brought out my pencil set, a gift from Hub at Christmas.  Once I came up with some pencil drawings I liked, I painted along side Alice as she explained everything.

I enjoyed Alice’s classes so much!  They were well organized, easy to understand, and she has created great videos.  But there are bonuses!  Your drawings are your own.  No patterns.  This means your finished product is original!  Also, you will leave with the knowledge of how to expand your skills in more than one medium.  I’m so excited about that.

I’m still working on a good bee painting using pencil.  I hope to do another, better bee painting in that medium and when I do I will post it here.  Thank you, again, Alice.  I’m coming back for more lessons with you.  May I suggest a butterfly?
