70s Classics

In this project, I explore cinematic photo compositing through controlled lighting, atmospheric layering, and tonal cohesion. Built around a 1970s Dodge Charger, the focus was realism through integration rather than complexity.

I constructed depth using fog gradients, directional rain, and wet pavement reflections to anchor the vehicle naturally into the scene and made use of the harmonise tool to bring it all together.

Additional texture work on the body panels and controlled contrast adjustments were used to unify the car with the storm environment. A whole image colour edit was applied to maintain tonal consistency and prevent the subject from feeling simply placed on the page.

The bold, modern typography creates intentional contrast within the composition. I paired strong sans-serif lettering with a script font to mirror the vintage character of the vehicle. This combination adds visual tension while maintaining clear hierarchy and balance across the frame.

The result is a simple but high-impact composition where technical decisions drive mood.
